Job Purpose
The job
holder supports the Buyer in all aspects of product sourcing, vendor
management, and inventory control. The role involves assisting in vendor
negotiations, tracking inventory levels, and conducting market research to
ensure the company’s product offerings are competitive and aligned with
customer demand.
Responsibilities &
Duties
Selection Support &
Vendor Coordination:

Assist the Buyer in coordinating with vendors for product
orders, sample approvals, and timely deliveries.
·
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vendor contracts,
pricing, and product specifications.
·
Support
the Buyer in the selection of products that align with the company’s brand and
financial goals.
·
Assist in the preparation of product assortment plans and
seasonal range plans.
Market Analysis & Trend Monitoring:
·
Conduct
market research to identify emerging trends, competitive pricing, and potential
new vendors.
·
Provide
insights and recommendations to the Buyer based on market analysis and customer
feedback.
·
Work
closely with the Design Centre, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure
seamless coordination of product launches, promotions, and inventory
management.
Provide administrative support
to the Buyer in meetings, presentations, and reporting
Inventory Management & Performance
Reporting:
·
Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to the Buyer,
ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
·
Assist in preparing purchase orders and coordinate with the
supply chain for timely replenishment of stock.
·
Track and analyze the performance of purchased products,
including sales data, customer feedback, and inventory levels.
·
Prepare and present regular reports to the Buyer,
highlighting key insights and areas for improvement.
